Dorothy Stott attended Paier College of Art and studied landscape, portrait and still life oil & pastel painting with Foster Cadell.
For a brief time, she apprenticed with Mercer Mayer & colorized drawings for Marc Brown.
Dorothy is a Member of the Society of Illustrators in NYC, Member of the Graphic Artist Guild & the Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators.
Dorothy Stott's paintings are in the permanent art collection of the J.P. Morgan Estate.

Dorothy Stott has illustrated and/or written over twenty Children's Books. Many projects are board books, lift-the-flap books and easy readers. Dorothy truly is a seasoned illustrator and book designer for over twenty five years.
RESUME
After the publication of "Too Much" (Dutton), the first book Dorothy wrote & illustrated about Little Duck, she named her studio after him.
Dorothy is very proud of her work for World Vision created with the Russ Reid Agency.
